Relax and unwind in the tranquility of Thomas Henry's, a comfortable, historic bluestone house situated in the central township of Port Elliot. Thomas Henry's was purpose built in 1936 as a guesthouse by Matilda and Thomas Henry Smith. This wonderful large old guesthouse easily accommodates up to 14 people in cosy, home-away-from-home comfort. For guests seeking outdoor activity, just a short walk from the front door are many attractions such as the renowned Horseshoe Bay & winter whale watching and surf beaches. There are shops, restaurants, hotels and the famous Cockle Train all within walking distance plus first rate tennis courts right opposite, so bring those racquets!! Thomas Henry's can provide a self-contained seven bedroom house spacious enough to accommodate a group of 14. Suitable for birthday parties, small conferences and weddings or just a family or friends get together. Thomas Henry's was purpose built by Joseph Burlington for his sister, Matilda. The bluestone was quarried locally by her husband, Thomas Henry Smith and carted to the site by horse and dray.
