Jackling Cottage is named after William Jackling 1843 – 1925. William Jackling came to Australia on the sailing ship Lord of the Isles in 1854 with his family when he was 11 years old. Josephs Cottage was named after Joseph Nash – Paddlesteamer Captain. This stone cottage was built in the 1860s soon after Goolwa was first established. Jackling Cottage has two bedrooms. One with a Queen Bed and the other with two singles. It offers a modern fully equipped kitchen that opens to an unique atrium style dinning room, fantastic all weather outdoor living and entertaining area and modern bathroom with a spa bath. Jackling Cottage is situated in Little Scotland the historical centre of the Riverport of Goolwa. The cottage is the ideal place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the Fleurieu Peninsula, just five minutes walk will take you to the wharf, main street, hotels, restaurants and shopping centre or take a short drive to local wineries, golf courses and surf beaches. Josephs Cottage is located on a quiet side street in central Goolwa and provides a delightfully comfortable, well appointed central base from which to experience the charm of this historic River Murray port town and South Australias Fleurieu Peninsula. It is a short two-minute walk to cafes, restaurants and shops. The cottage is the ideal place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the Fleurieu Peninsula, just five minutes walk will take you to the wharf.
