Glenelg Beach Hostel provides quality Backpacker accommodation at Adelaide's premier beach. Centrally located in the fun Glenelg Beach area, we are only metres from the beach, great beachside nightlife, alfresco dining, restaurants, shopping, 24 hr supermarket, cinema and more. Being very close to transport, a short tram ride takes you into the busy centre of Adelaide featuring the famous Central Markets, great bands and entertainment, museums and art galleries. We are also an ideal home base while you explore some of Adelaide's wineries, beaches and the outback. We are situated in a Heritage building named Alexander Terrace which was built in 1878. We offer a choice between mixed dorms, female only dorms and a range of private rooms. We are one of few bunk-free hostels throughout Australia, and offer comfortable beds with quilts. Free continental breakfast is included aswell as 24hr tea & coffee making facilities. We also have a fully equipped kitchen, internet facilities, 24hr TV/Plasma with free DVD hire. Check out our newly refurbished lounge bar with backpacker drink specials or relax in our huge beergarden with a pint of Adelaide's favourite Coopers Pale Ale. If you are in Adelaide, head to the beach! We have a range of accomodation options to suit your personal requirements. Accomodation includes fully equipped communial kitchen and laundry facilities. There is also a 24 hr chillout plasma/DVD room with movies available to hire free at reception.
