The Tuncurry Motor Lodge is a comfortable 23 unit, 2 story brick motel on the main road into Tuncurry. We have queen size beds, reverse cycle air conditioning, AUSTAR, Broadband, tea and coffee making facilities, phone, toaster, fridge, irons and ironing boards, a saltwater pool and BBQ area. We also have five self contained units sleeping up to six people and a modified room for those who need it. There is a guest laundry and ample off street parking for cars and coaches. Our Golden Chain motel is only 200 metres to the Bowling Club, 400 metres to the beach, an easy walk to the cinema, restaurants and shops. We have a small conference/meeting room and facsimile and photocopying facilities are available. Things to do in Forster - TuncurryForster and Tuncurry are two coastal towns which are now essentially one large urban area separated by a long concrete bridge. They sit on opposite sides of the entrance to Wallis Lake which is 26 km long. The two towns are fronted by the ocean to the east and the lake to the west. This beautiful environment is home to a wide range of bird and animal life including the endangered little tern, which breed on two of the lakes many islets. Forster-Tuncurry is a very typical holiday resort with all the attractions that come with such a destination: quality accommodation, plenty of places to eat, local seafood, good fishing, surfing and swimming areas and a casual atmosphere.
