Mataranka Cabins offer exclusive self contained cabins, air conditioned with private ensuites which are 400 metres from Bitter Springs Thermal Pools. The cabins can sleep up to five people. Linen and towels are included and the cabins are fully appointed with television, radio, microwave, stove and a large fridge - everything needed to make your home-away-from-home.
Each cabin has its own verandah with a bush view,cabin guests also have use of the coin operated laundry in the Campground and there are clothes drying lines beside each cabin.
The Campgrounds are situated right on the banks of the Little Roper River in a natural bush setting. The layout is very informal, you can choose your own spot. Campfires are allowed and pets are welcome.
Wallabies are abundant in the camp area and barramundi and other fish are caught in the river. The rare red goshawk nests in this area and birdwatchers are regular guests in the campgrounds and cabins.
As well as the riverside camping there are powered sites.
