The Island Sanctuary is a four and a half star boutique Bed and Breakfast located on Macleay Island in the Southern Moreton Bay area. The Sanctuary was created with tranquility in mind and is a luxurious getaway. We offer a variety of treatments for relaxing body, mind and soul. You can enjoy an inhouse massage with a professional masseuse, a delightful organic facial treatment or maybe an energy balancing session. If you are feeling more active you can take our bicycles and tour the nearby islands, borrow the golf clubs and have fun on the islands' friendly 9 hole course, or maybe take our 2 person hobi-kayak out to explore the usually calm waters of the marine park. Try yoga on the beach at sunset or a creative visualisation in our courtyard studio. Close to both Brisbane and the Gold Coast (approx 1 hour from either) we are perfectly positioned to offer a quiet and tranquil escape. The Southern Moreton Bay Islands are accessed from Redland Bay by ferry or vehicular barge. Travelling through the marine park in the protected waters you may see dolphins or dugongs at play. The Blue room is up in the treetops, this light and spacious room is furnished in Javanese style. The Verandah Room is delightful with an Asian influence and a very welcoming feel. The Guest Sitting Room is a great place to chat, read, play board games or enjoy a glass of port. We have fully screened the large verandah so that you can enjoy the great outdoors in comfort.
