At Anchorage on Straddie we offer affordable studio, one and two bedroom beachfront apartments. Each is fully self-contained with private balcony. Our grounds include a large salt water pool, BBQ areas and a dedicated boardwalk to the beach. North Stradbroke Island is the largest of the great sandy islands of Moreton Bay and is home to an amazing variety of native flora, fauna and marine life. Watch the humpback whale migration from May to November, dive the crystal waters or simply relax and observe our internationally recognised and protected bird habitat. Some of the most beautiful and spectacular beaches and headlands in the world are to be found at Point Lookout. Explore the inland lakes and waterways, and visit historic Dunwich or the laid back fishing village of Amity. Whatever your excitement threshold, you are more than catered for. Take a scuba dive or fishing charter. Go sea kayaking, sand boarding or surfing, or simply walk the beautiful beaches and headlands. Anchorage is ideally located on a protected beach, making it perfect for your early morning swim or leisurely stroll. Lawn balls, tennis, hotel and clubs are an easy walk away. Want to team build in paradise? Our fully equipped conference room can cater for all your needs. We can also organize external team building activities such as Ropes Course, Water Sports and Golf.
