The Islander is ideally located at Point Lookout on beautiful North Stradbroke Island, just 20 minutes drive from Brisbane to the Cleveland Ferry Terminal, then a 30 minute water taxi or barge ride to Dunwich. The resort is opposite Home Beach and close to famous Cylinder Beach (300m) and many other attractions including the Bowls Club, Hotel, several restaurants and shops selling local arts and crafts. North Stradbroke Island with its unspoilt beaches and headlands are perfect for swimming, surfing and fishing all year round. Whales, Dolphins, Turtles and Manta Rays can often be spotted from the spectacular North Gorge at the tip of Point Lookout. The island has been listed as one if the worlds most ecologically important wetlands and has several freshwater lakes, waterways and lagoons ideal for that getaway swim with friends. The Islander offers three distinctive styles of accommodation, and rates are reasonable so there is sure to be an option which will suit you. All units are fully self-contained, with colour television, DVD, VCR and laundry/ ironing facilities. Linen is supplied. Units serviced weekly. Studio Apartments: Sleeps two adults, kitchenette with fridge, microwave and stovette, bathroom/laundry facilities. Colour TV, DVD and VCR. Most units have balconies. You will never be short of something to do whether action or relaxation is what you are after such as swimming at the beach or the beautiful lakes.
