Kirra Beach Tourist Park is a very spacious park with a large open lawn area in the middle of the park perfect for outdoor barbecues and picnics or a game of cricket or football. The park is a couple of blocks back from the beach at Kirra which is well known for its appeal to keen surfers. The on site accommodation (Oceana cabins and Lodgings) are located with views overlooking a lakefront, however, the lake is not suitable for swimming but there is a heated saltwater pool in the park. Located on the Queensland-New South Wales border, the park has access to all the main highways heading north and south as well as being close to the township of Coolangatta also well known for its beaches and shopping area. Just across the road from Coolangatta you cross the NSW border to enter into Tweed Heads with it’s many services clubs including Twin Towns, Tweed Heads Bowls Club and Seagulls. Kirra Beach Tourist Park has six Oceana cabins in a garden setting. One of the six cabins also has disabled facilities including ramp access and bathroom fitted for wheelchair use. Completed in May 2000, the Lodgings is a budget style room only accommodation with share bathroom and cooking facilities. Kirra Beach Tourist Park have approximately 220 sites in all made up of powered sites for caravans, campervans etc. as well as unpowered sites for camping.
