Stranded Mexican is a unique venue situated in beautiful Port Elliot, South Australia, just a few hundred metres from the beach and only a few minutes from many local attractions. The whole building used to be the Marlborough apartments. However over the last 30 years it has run as a restaurant starting as the Windjammer 30 years ago, then the Scittar Indian (who added the octagonal restaurant), followed by Paradiso and Benito's, both Italian pizza/pasta joints. In its current incarnation we have added the entire summer garden & bar and renovated the rest of the building including the three bedroom apartment upstairs. We serve a range of traditional and Modern Mexican style food, as well as fabulous tapas and gourmet pizzas using the finest local produce. We source our ingredients from as many local suppliers as possible. This ensures freshness and quality is at a premium, as well as showing support for other local businesses. We are licensed for 200 people, seating approximately 100 inside and 100 in our spacious outside courtyard. We can cater for both large and small functions with 2 small function rooms inside perfect for small meetings or gatherings. Our function menus offer a great mix of both Mexican style food, as well as Modern Australian cuisine for the traditionalists. .
