Nuttbush Retreat is located on Pandurra Station homestead just 40km West of Port Augusta, South Australia. We offer all levels of accommodation from camping and caravanning to luxuriously restored Shearers Quarters. Enjoy staying in outback accommodation at a station that produces some of the best wool in South Australia. Stay a while in the friendly country atmosphere and explore the area. Come and see the fabulous Australian Outback at Nuttbush Retreat while working station life goes on around you. Relax beside our Swimming Pool or treat yourself to our outdoor spa. Play 8 ball, sit and relax in our recreation room and watch television by the open fire or airconditioned comfort. The Nutt family has owned Pandurra Station since July 1st 1895 and has successfully run a sheep and cattle grazing enterprise. Pandurra carries in excess of 25,000 sheep and 300 cattle on an area of some 400 square miles. The Pandurra woolshed and original shearers quarters were built around 1860 and are now part of Nuttbush Retreats authentic outback heritage accommodation and facilities. The older rooms contain much of the original furniture, in a restored state. Pandurra woolshed was originally 24 stands which means that 24 shearers sheared the 70,000 plus sheep that passed through the shed in the 1870s. The property was 317 square miles in those days.
