All bedrooms have LCD TV’s, built in mirrored robes and ceiling fans. Bathroom includes 2 person spa, large shower and vanity. Separate toilet and powder room. Main bedroom has ensuite. Reverse cycle air conditioning in living area. Fully equipped laundry. Open plan living area and fully equipped kitchen, opening onto large undercover deck with outdoor setting and BBQ. All taking in the magnificent views over Eastern Cove to Rocky Point, Browns Beach, Baudin Beach and Kangaroo Head to the mainland and plenty of car parking available including boat parking. (fish cleaning facilities). American River was named by American sealers who sheltered there in the 1800's. Not exactly a river, and more an inlet - this historic place provides a beautiful base on which to explore and discover Kangaroo Island. First visited by Matthew Flinders in 1802, he named many of the local features including Pelican Lagoon, Prospect Hill and Kangaroo Head. And due to the large number of kangaroos on the island gave the island her namesake.
