Stunning North facing views overlooking the beach and sea from both inside the house and the spacious sun deck can be enjoyed all year round. As you take your meals on the sundeck keep your eyes seaward and watch the wildlife. Dolphins and Pelicans are often to be seen just cruising past. Island beach itself is a 5 kilometre stretch of protected pristine beach with no major development and is located between Penneshaw and American river. From the Sealink terminal at Penneshaw, Island Beach is an easy 15 minute drive of 16 kilometres,or a 40 minute drive of 33 kilometres from Kingscote airport. The beach is ideal and safe for swimming, there are no currents, the bottom is sandy and the sea is very calm most of the time. All four bedrooms have built-in wardrobes. Doonas and pillows are supplied for all beds. Our waters are the home of the renowned King George whiting,arguabley the best table fish in the world, and they do not get any bigger than what the locals call pick axe handles! Other species that are often sought are Red Snapper and Garfish, both very high quality table fish and still in good numbers.
