Currawong is a distinctive architect designed holiday home, situated in a secluded location on the eastern side of the town of Penneshaw, Kangaroo Island. The house is of solid brick construction, and its elevated position provides stunning sea views over Penneshaw Beach, Hog Bay and across Backstairs Passage to the SA mainland.

The house features four bedrooms, two with queen size beds, one with a double bed and a fourth bedroom with one queen and two single beds. The house also features a very large open plan living area and a well-appointed kitchen including a dishwasher. The house exudes a peaceful and restful atmosphere, and features reverse cycle air conditioning and a slow combustion wood fire. Another feature of the house is a luxurious bathroom with spa bath and second toilet. A spacious elevated deck, gas BBQ and sea views provide an ideal setting for outdoor dining.

The house is located close to Penneshaw beach (a superb swimming beach) while a walk of a few hundred metres in the other direction will take the visitor into a bushland area, where Tammar wallabies will be seen in large numbers at dusk. An added attraction of the area is the abundant birdlife, including the Little Penguins for which Penneshaw is famous.
