The farm village of Poltalloch Station nestles in parkland like grounds amongst paddocks of grazing cattle and native pine forests. The mellow limestone and iron buildings are all private and retain their own special charm, character and unique history. 3 very comfortable cottages are available for guests to experience Australian country life surrounded by spectacular scenery. Overseers Cottage - Overseers is a large stone cottage with a private rear garden and wonderful lake views from the front verandah. It sleeps up to 7 persons and features 2 master bedrooms queen-sized beds, 3 single beds, 2 separate bathrooms and a large traditional eat-in kitchen. Boundary Riders Cottage - Boundary Riders is a quiet, attractive limestone and iron cottage with spacious lawned surrounds. It sleeps up to 5 persons 1 queen-sized bed and 3 single beds. Station Hands Cottage - Station Hands is located close to the lakeshore and our waterbird sanctuary. The cottage sleeps up to 4 persons 1 king size bed and 2 single beds. Poltalloch Station is perfect for a secluded and tranquil retreat, or a holiday full of things to see and do. Wander around the magnificent station village looking at the historic buildings and old farm machinery displays. Swim in the shallow freshwaters from our own sandy beach. Walk in our paddocks, along the lakeshore, through the native pine forest or to the historic fishermans grave, with superb country views.
