Welcome to Abbacy Motel Port Pirie, South Australia. Located right in the heart of the business district, we are within close walking distance to the entertainment and shopping areas. With budget priced rooms, extend your stay a while longer and enjoy the surrounding area attractions. We are a budget hotel with a great location. With a RAA 3 star rating, that means you get a nice comfortable and clean room at a great price. Because of our location, we don't have a restaurant, but within a one block walk there are Hotels, Cafes, Fast Foods or Lunches and Dinners at the Community Club. Not to mention the great Chinese restaurant next door. All rooms are carpeted with double and single beds. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided. TV and we have 10 rooms, including a family double. Clean bathrooms with hair dryers provided. Port Pirie is known as the city of friendly people. A well deserved reputation. But realisticly... there is not a lot of tourist activities that would make you want to stay for more that a day or two. But within an hour or so drive, there is a great variety of things to see and do. The mighty Flinders Ranges to the north and east provide a great backdrop for forests, national parks and lookouts, while to the south is the Copper Coast, based around Moonta (little Cornwall), home of the cousin jacks. The attractions panel to the right provides links to a host of activities.
