Tamar Cove Motel is a beautifully decorated and distinctively styled licensed restaurant on two levels, with extensive outdoor settings in the warmer months. A la Carte - Australian dishes and Seafood are features of the menu, group bookings and functions are catered for. Tamar Cove is a comfortable 40 minute drive from Launceston through a particularly scenic region of Tasmania. We feature a wide choice of local and interstate wines. Motel style double and family accommodation with TV and mini-bar. Guests enjoy our in-ground swimming pool, bar-b-que and childrens playground. The region is packed with sightseeing opportunities and family activities, including the Grubb Shaft Gold and Heritage Museum and Seahorse World. Relax on the sundeck, rest your eyes on the mountains, reflect on the tranquillity. Take an early morning walk in the garden and begin your day -perhaps a fishing expedition, a tour of the fruit farms or wine tasting at some of the nearby vineyards. Head North from Launceston on the West Tamar Highway following signs to Beaconsfield 25km. When you get to Beakey, as the locals call it, ask anyone for a restaurant and chances are they will recommend their favourite Chef, Donna, at Tamar Cove.
