Hillview House was originally built around the 1840s and extensively enlarged by Rev. W Law in the 1860s. It has now been sympathetically restored to provide a charming stay for your Tasmanian holiday. We have given great attention to providing the modern facilities and well decorated rooms you expect. You will find a visit to Hillview House will leave you with fond memories of personal care and attention. A stay at Hillview house offers the perfect location to enjoy some of Tasmanias finest regenerative parklands and accessible environmental experiences. Savour the fragrances and colours of the seasons in the magnificent Cataract Gorge… spectacular when it’s in flood. If the vintage of the season is more to your taste then the Tamar Valley boasts some of Australias finest wineries, including Rochecombe, Pipers Brook, and Heemskirk vineyards. All are a short 25 minutes drive away. Also within easy driving distance of Hillview House: Hillwood Strawberry Farm, Grindelwald Swiss Village, Bridestowe Lavender Farm, Westbury Minerals and Gems, Evandale Historic Village, and Historic Woolmers at Longford. We look forward to sharing these experiences with you.
