The township of Cervantes is located 254 kilometres North of Perth and only 2 kilometres West of the entrance to the Nambung National Park, being the home of the internationally famous Pinnacles formations. Making Cervantes the perfect entrance and base to explore the natural beauties of the Mid Coastal Region and outlying National Parks.
For the water enthusiast looking for a short or long term holiday, Cervantes has something for everyone. There’s no need for 4 wheel drives to launch your boat here – and you can enjoy fishing from the beaches, Jetties, Groyne or offshore. Parents need not fear for the safety of the youngsters as the beaches and extensive swimming areas have crystal clear waters and are naturally protected by inshore reefs. Enjoy the barbeque and picnic facilities adjacent to the beach areas.
Windsurfing has become increasingly popular. So much so that the locals have taken advantage of the location and water conditions at Cervantes, through the staging of the annual Slalom Windsurfing Carnival. Local, intrastate, interstate and international participants compete in this event held in early December.
