There's plenty of things to do around Geraldton. Facilities - TV Lounge, Videos, Barbeque, Courtesy bus, Internet/E-mail, Lock-up Parking, Pool table and Ping pong. Geraldton is one of the best locations in the world for Wind and Kitesurfing from October through March and plenty of good surf can be found during the winter months. Take a scenic flight to the beautiful Abrolhos islands, the site of the famous 'Batavia' ship wreck and mutiny in 1629. Check out the shipwreck section at the local museum to see artifacts recovered from the Batavia wreck and others from the local area. Tours of the local Crayfish factory available Nov to June. The Sydney memorial, St Francis Xavier Cathedral and Art Gallery are all in easy walking distance or you may choose a scenic drive to the Chapman valley or Ego Creek wineries in the beautiful Chapman Valley area.
