The 40 acres of Quaalup Homestead Wilderness Retreat are nestled right in the western part of the Fitzgerald River National Park, close to Bremer Bay - a stay here is truly a unique experience. A Solar Power System provides environmentally friendly energy for the comfort of our guests - no generators. The Fitzgerald River National Park, internationally recognised by UNESCO as a World Biosphere Reserve, is one of Australia's largest and most botanically significant Parks with beautiful wildflowers to be found all year round. The Park is blessed with a magnificent scenery, mountain ranges, red cliffs, rivers, inlets and the incredible white sanded beaches with the crystal clear azure blue waters of the southern ocean. You can't stay closer to the famous beach of Point Ann, one of the two places ( the other is Head of the Bight) along Australias coast where Southern Right Whales come to calve during their winter migration. The heritage listed Quaalup Homestead built 1858 adds a special atmosphere to this place and give guests an impression of the early settlement days. Guests are welcome to relax in front of the fireplace, read or meet fellow travellers. Guests can enjoy nature walks with views to West Mount Barren and many species of wildflowers, wake up to the bird calls, dream away under star studded skies and explore the Parks attractions with comfortable distances.
