| Barley Stacks is the first commercial vineyard to be established in the traditional barley belt of the Yorke Peninsula, renowned for growing the world's best malting barley. Rich grey soil over limestone, with a low but certain 400 millimetres rainfall, combined with a warm maritime climate, increased row spacing, heavy mulching, bird net protection, hand-pruning and hand-picking has contributed to the production of premium quality fruit. Barley stacks is a rare discovery. The Gregory family's pioneering spirit and vision, and most importantly terroir and viticulture management practices have created a unique and remarkable wine. |
