Hear about this exciting part of Woolnorth's ever-changing landscape and stand on the impressive west coast at the viewing gallery. From the wind farm you will then head on to Cape Grim which is also on our rugged west coast and has spectacular scenery and where you can breathe the cleanest air in the world. Cookhouse Cottage, the oldest building on the property dating from 1831 was restored to near original state and can be viewed in the Homestead area. The Cottage contains a pictorial display of yester-year at Woolnorth and some history of the Van Diemens Land Company and the families who lived here in the early days. At the Directors Lodge (1970) a home-style barbecue lunch is prepared. This is the perfect place to relax and enjoy local scotch fillet steak with fresh salad selection, followed with fruit, tea & coffee. Every room in the house has a commanding view over a portion of the property, Bass Strait and NW islands in the distance.
