As soon as you enter the realm of Whale World heritage precinct, you step back in time into yesteryear.

Visit Whale World and take an interactive journey through the site of the last operating whaling station in Australia, supported by a series of audio visual displays, artefacts and whaling history.

With the help of an professional guide, begin to explore over 25 different exhibits including "Giants of the Sea", the jaw dropping skeleton display.  Then prepare to be immersed in three state of the art technological theatres, including the world's first 3D animated film on whales "Giants Exist", and climb aboard the Cheynes IV Whalechaser to experience a whale chase through the audio re-enactment.

Whale World is situated on the site of the old Cheynes Beach Whaling Station, located on the picturesque southern coast of King George Sound in Albany, Western Australia.

The station ceased whaling operations and was decommissioned in 1978.  Now an international tourist icon and educational attraction, it is also acknowledged as one of the State's most significant tourist attractions.
