New dive site at Avoca Beach
Ex-HMAS Adelaide scuttling What a perfect day for the scuttling of the ex-HMAS Adelaide off the coast of Avoca Beach on the Central Coast of NSW. Even the dolphins were celebrating and held up the sinking for 90 minutes, while they chased and fed on a school of fish. Locals, holiday makers and diving enthusiasts were out in force to witness this historic event, a first for NSW. The fireworks went off and ex-HMAS Adelaide went down in 60 seconds. Divers can now anticipate some international standard dives around this magnificent warship on the Central Coast. |
