Dolphin feeding at Tin Can Bay
Mystique and Patch We were one of the first to arrive at the Public Boat Ramp at Norman Point, in Tin Can Bay, on the Fraser Coast of QLD. The two Indo-Pacific Humpback Dolphins arrive for supervised feeding between 7am and 8am each morning. Dolphins, Mystique and Patch, have regularly appeared at this location for a number of years, and are clearly interested in the human interaction. A hush grew over the crowd, as an observant youngster spotted the dolphins approaching. Regular volunteers related information about the dolphins and ensured their safety. All those interested in feeding had to disinfect their hands and wait quietly in line. Watching the young children interacting with the dolphins was just as heart warming as taking a turn yourself. |
