Elliston Clifftop Drive Sculptures
Clifftop Sculptures north of Elliston S.A. On our journey down the west coast of South Australia's Eyre Peninsula, we came across the fishing town of Elliston on Waterloo Bay, 169 km north west of Port Lincoln. We happened upon Clifftop Drive to the north of Elliston and decide to explore the Clifftop Sculptures. This is essentially an art gallery without walls, a community art project, with rugged ocean cliff scenery as a stunning backdrop. The unsealed 20km drive meanders around the cliffs, revealing quirky sculptures around each bay. The sculptures range from a surfboard cyclist and giant thongs to Easter Island like rock sculptures. The sandy bay to the north of the sculptures provided a perfect location for 4WD camping. |
